Responsibilities

As a psychologist, you will be part of the school's student health team and, together with other professionals within student health, support the school management in their efforts to remove barriers so that all students can actively participate in teaching and be part of a safe social environment.

Typical tasks for the psychologist in the school may include:

  • Supervising individual teachers or work teams
  • Providing training to other professionals in relevant areas, such as mental health
  • Conducting various forms of individual assessments
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, such as guardians and healthcare partners.
  • Contributing to and participating in school development work and value-based work.

For the parts of your work that fall under the Health and Medical Services Act, there is a quality management system and methodological support in place. There is also a local PLA for support and training on issues related to patient safety. All health and medical work, such as psychological assessments, must take place in adapted premises where office space is also available. As a psychologist in the Hisingen education area, you have a psychologist group of about 20 people readily available, including professional developers and PLA. The group strives for a culture of collaboration and meets regularly for collegial support, training, supervision, and professional development. Newly hired psychologists are always offered a mentor.

Do you want to work in an environment with high competence, quality, and friendly colleagues? Do you want to help develop psychological work in schools and contribute to increased health for our students? Then we believe that the position of psychologist with us could be something for you!
